What we believe
What “ ALT ” mean
“ The spiritual side of art cannot be learned through education. It has to grow spontaneously, like a flower, in a mind free from prejudice and stereotypes.
The core of this principle is the spontaneity of the universe "
This is the concept for ALT!
a creative brand born from our experience and passion for illustration, art and design.
ALT in italian means stop, ALT is the moment of inspiration:
a vision, an idea, an intuition and ... everything stops for a moment!
So let yourself be inspired by our designs, made for inspiring people!
Discover the story behind each ones, choose the one fit your feelings, test their positive and ironic vibes, enjoy them!
And remember that Passion makes always different!!!
Who we are
“If you will follow the way of your passion you will always find the right people"
Marco: Founder and designer
Following my inspiration, I started to make custom t-shirt with ink since I was 14 years old. Had always a passion for the street art and culture, especially for the work of Keith Haring and the Italian futurist like Depero as well. After I graduated in Illustration, I desired to free my universe, so in 1997 I opened the first ALT HOUSE STORE, in a small street of my neighborhood in Rome, where the people could find a selected vintage and the first small collection of ALT branded t-shirts; and so started the long journey of my life and passion, that finally took me to relocate here in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Following my inspiration, after my studies in economy, I went to live in Rome for more than 20 years, and I was one of the first customer of the first ALT HOUSE STORE. Casually at that time I lived just round the corner of the shop.
Me and Marco will get married after 10 years the first time we met. I had taken Marco in Thailand for his first time, and we started to made regular trips; Marco was so fascinated by the creativity and colors of my wonderful country, and we decided to move here in 2016.
From 2010 onwards, we managed a family-run bar in the heart of Rome, which was also our own gallery, the "Exit Bar Pub & Gallery”.
